Even if you don’t like to journal, simply writing a few words or sentences can be a powerful practice.

In today’s episode, I share why that is, and give you some short and simple ideas of how to get started with writing as a tool to connect with God.

This Week’s Practice: Write It Down

Journaling can be a powerful tool to connect with God, but it doesn’t have to take a lot of words. Here are a few simple ideas to get you started.

  • Make a list

    • Examples: what you did, something your kid said, etc.

  • One line a day

  • Download

  • Daily Review

  • Start out by answering a prompt.

    • What do you want to remember about today?

    • What is God teaching you right now?

    • What emotions are you feeling and why?

    • What is unresolved or unanswered in your life right now?

    • What do you want for your life?

  • Write out a prayer.

    • Write your words as a prayer to God as a way of processing the day with Him.
